What's New at Royal Vendors?

ENERGY STAR® Qualified Venders

Since April 2004, most Royal Vendors equipment manufactured for use in the USA (including Puerto Rico) and Canada is ENERGY STAR qualified. Click here to find out more about ENERGY STAR.

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI)

The National Electrical Code requires GFCI protection of receptacles and plugs located outdoors or in bathrooms, garages, and spa areas. This GFCI circuit breaker provides protection against overloads, short circuits, and ground faults. It detects very low levels of electrical current leaks (ground faults), and acts quickly to shut off power, preventing serious shock.

Econo-Cool™

The Econo-Cool Technology consists of a combination of a new, more energy-efficient lighting package, cooling unit, evaporator fan, and software.

The Econo-Cool lighting package saves up to 14% in energy using T-8 fluorescent tubes and electronic ballast when compared with the older T-12 design. T-8 bulbs last twice as long as standard T-12 lights and also save costs by eliminating as many as four service calls for bulb replacement over the life of the vender.

Econo-Cool also uses a compressor that reduces energy consumption by up to 15%.

General Electric Co.'s high-efficiency evaporator fan was one of the biggest break-throughs that contributed to the energy-efficiency of the Econo-Cool Technology system. The highly efficient motor that powers GE's evaporator fan generates far less heat than conventional designs, which saves energy by accelerating the cooling process. The fan and motor combination can reduce electrical consumption by up to 21%. An additional benefit is that the new fan system is much quieter in operation. This is a major benefit in indoor installations, particularly where multiple machines are located.

Beginning January 2002, Econo-Cool retrofit units became available for installation on Royal Venders electronic machines built since 1996. Retrofit packages can be customized to include the lighting package, the compressor, the fan and motor, or a combination of all options.
